About the HEC
IMEC Kathmandu Clubhouse

The IMEC Clubhouse serves as a "home away from home" for members. Whether you’re traveling for one month or one year, the Clubhouse will provide many useful services. Before leaving home, members can give out the clubhouse address, phone number, and e-mail address to friends and family. When in Kathmandu, members can stop in, have tea, meet other travelers, store luggage, pick up their mail, use the telephone, or e-mail home (with no charge for e-mail or Web access). The Kathmandu Clubhouse can even reserve a hotel and arrange for airport transportation.

We are proud to be sharing office space with KEEP, the Kathmandu Environmental Education Project. KEEP is a charity dedicated to minimizing the negative impact of tourism on the environment and culture of Nepal, and has been recognized by the Wild Country Foundation and Patagonia for its work.

The office is conveniently located in Thamel (you can also view and print out a map of the Clubhouse and surrounding area).

(Note: Some signs may still say "Himalayan Explorers Club")

The clubhouse phone number is 977-1-4412934, fax is 977-1-4413018 and you can find them in Kathmandu's Thamel district on Tridevi Marg. The P.O. Box is 9178 Kathmandu, Nepal.

The Clubhouse can also be e-mailed directly at members@mountainexplorers.org
